2018 Never a Dull Moment

As 2019 is just around the corner, it is worth taking a look at 2018 and what has happened at bridge][ability. Here are some of the highlights:

International

We have delivered in many parts of the globe, including the USA, China, and in Europe. We have proved once again that what we deliver is truly cross-cultural and works wherever you are and whoever you are dealing with.

As well as delivering negotiation development, we helped with Line Management Development in San Fransisco which was received a tremendous reception and is being implemented every day by those delegates.

In China, the audience for advanced negotiation development included Chinese, Japanese, Americans, and Europeans of various flavours.

Brexit

Not only has Dan Hughes appeared on the BBC this year to talk about the progress (or otherwise!) of the Brexit negotiations, we have been asked by our clients to look at the implications of this most thorny of issues. We have delivered multiple sessions entitled ‘Negotiation Lessons from Brexit’ to one IT corporate, and we have also worked with several Premiership and Championship football clubs in looking at the implications of Brexit on their world and how they can and should be planning for contingencies. If this is something you still need to do, it’s not too late – get in touch and we can help.

Variety

We have helped those involved in Employee Relations negotiations (pay deals), mergers, price increases and internal negotiations. The attendees on our programs this year have included salespeople, procurement, HR, legal, project managers, directors and creatives.

Looking Forward – 2019

Whether linked to Brexit or not, we have noticed an uncertain trading atmosphere in various quarters. It has been a tough year for many and it is prudent to expect that 2019 will be no easier. It is good practice to learn the lessons from what has already happened but at bridge][ability we prefer to be much more forward-focussed. Just because 2019 may present some challenges it does not mean that you cannot have a successful year, but it will require planning, and of course some excellent negotiating. Don’t leave it to chance – make sure you are in the best place you can be.

We would like to thank all of our clients, whether that be the people who have decided to engage our services, or those who have attended our programs in 2018, and even more importantly those who have yet to work with us in 2019!!

2018, 2019, leadership, negotiation
